Hero Xtreme 125R is going to be updated for the Indian market. Before the official launch, the motorcycle is already reaching dealerships in the country, and the spy shots of the machine have been shared on social media. Based on the update, the two-wheeler is getting aesthetic upgrades and changes in the feature list, which are aimed at improving its position in the 125 cc category. Here we take a look at the details of the machine.

To begin with, the Hero Xtreme 125R spotted at the dealership gets a green paint scheme in combination with a darker shade of grey. Apart from that, the motorcycle will also get a red paint scheme. Additionally, the brand is extending the list of features available on the motorcycle to improve its appeal.

The 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R will also get cruise control, making it the first sporty 125cc motorcycle to have this feature. This has been borrowed from the recently launched Glamour X, which gets a cruise control toggle on the right-hand switchgear. Meanwhile, the left-hand switchgear gets controls for the colour LCD screen. With the LCD screen, the motorcycle will likely gain Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and more.

Along with the aforementioned features, the 125 cc motorcycle is also gaining LED headlights, taillights, and turn indicators with a hazard function. The bike will also get auto emergency brake lights with a USB Type-C port. Meanwhile, the mechanics of the motorcycle will be carried forward.

The 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R will have the same 124.7cc single-cylinder engine. This unit is tuned to produce around 11.4 bhp of peak power and 10.5 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension setup consists of front and rear forks and a rear monoshock.

The launch date of the 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R is yet to be confirmed. Once launched, the bike will compete against models like the TVS Raider 125, Bajaj Pulsar N125, and Honda CB125 Hornet.
