Hyderabad:
YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the prime accused in the quid pro quo investments case approached a special CBI court in Hyderabad today, seeking its permission to travel to Kadapa and Guntur.
In a petition, Jagan, who was released from jail after getting bail in the case on September 24, requested the CBI court's permission to visit and pay homage at the grave of his father and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at Idupulapaya and visit his ancestral house as well as Pulivendula in Kadapa district on October 1 and 2.
While granting bail to Jagan on September 23, the court had directed him to stay in Hyderabad and not leave the city without prior permission.
In his petition, Jagan said that as a dutiful son, he wishes to visit the grave of his father and ancestral house, saying that he could not visit these places for a long time due to his being in judicial custody in connection with the case.
Jagan further submitted that he has been requested by his party to participate in a meet in Guntur, organised on October 4 in support of a people's movement for a "united" Andhra Pradesh.
The Kadapa MP said that he would continue to abide by all conditions imposed by the court and requested that his petition be considered, saying that no prejudice would be caused to the investigation or the investigating agency, since the entire investigation has been completed.
