Another social experiment is doing the rounds on social platforms. An ASSOCHAM report says 90% of teenage smokers begin by simply imitating their parents. So the YTV Network had a young boy go around the city asking strangers for a cigarette.
The results are uplifting - not a single person gave him one. On the contrary, they explained, in detail and with patience, the perils of smoking both to him and his older hench-smoker - from it's addictive nature to the life threatening diseases smoking causes.
These adults know smoking is harmful and they have no qualms about admitting it to the kid. But should they preach what they don't practice?
