Delhi vs Mumbai seems to be a debate as old as time itself. Mumbai is pegged as the Maximum City - the city of a million dreams, of hope, the financial capital of India. New Delhi - a city full of history, the political capital of India. Each city has certain stereotypes associated with it, and residents of both defend their own city with a protective fierceness. So when a stand-up comic decided to take on the issue of Delhi vs Mumbai, we knew we were in for an entertaining watch.
Abhishek Upmanyu's stand-up video is about moving to Mumbai from Delhi, about rich people 'South Bombay' problems and about helping the poor. That's a lot to cover in 5 and a half minutes, but we promise you that it's so on-point that you'll be chuckling the whole way.
Since being shared online on Facebook on January 24, the video has collected over one lakh views. "Have heard a lot of Bombay-Delhi stuff, but this guy has taken it to another level. Fantastic!" says one commenter. "Too funny," another comments.
