Three robberies reported in different parts of city

Mumbai: Some unidentified thieves struck and decamped with cash and valuables collectively worth Rs 95,700 from two different places in the city. The first incident has been reported from Rabale, wherein the culprits broke into a shop and decamped with cash and valuables collectively worth Rs 40,000. The incident took place on the intervening night of November 20 and 21.

According to police, Ganesh Shivaji Patil, a resident of Koparkhairane village owns a lottery shop near Gavali Hospital, Rabale. Some unidentified thieves broke into the shop sometime after 9 pm on November 20 when Patil had locked it and left for home.

The matter came to light at around 9 am on November 21 when Patil came to open the shop. He was shocked to see the shutter of the shop damaged. The matter was immediately reported to the Rabale police.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the thieves had stolen cash and LCD television collectively worth Rs 40,000 from the shop. An offence has been registered against unidentified thieves under sections 454, 457 and 380 of the IPC.

In another incident, thieves broke into a locked house in Koparkhairane and decamped with cash and valuables collectively worth Rs 27,700. The incident took place sometime between 11 am and 5 pm on November 18.

According to police, the thieves broke into the house of Nana Ganpati Khade, a resident of sector 10, Koparkhairane when there was no one at the house.

The culprits decamped with cash and valuables collectively worth Rs 27,700 from the house. Koparkhairane police have registered an offence under section 454 and 380 of the IPC.

In yet another incident, unidentified thieves struck at the house of Revnath Patil and decamped with cash and valuables collectively worth Rs 28,000. Patil had gone out of station.
