A day after Sharad Pawar was attacked at the Congress Working Committee meeting for spiraling food prices his party members have come out in support of him.
Maharashtra's Home Minister RR Patil said, "Sharad Pawar is our pride. Please don't bother him. If required, we can forgo our chair for him as well."
At the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Friday, it was Pawar bashing. Without taking his name, senior Congress leaders made veiled attack on the Agriculture Minister and NCP leader.
The CWC took stock of the situation arising out of price rise and discussed the Telangana statehood issue and was chaired by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
