Man stabbed to death allegedly for eloping with girl in Uttar Pradesh
Bulandshahr: A case of apparent dishonour killing has been reported from western Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district, 60 km from Delhi, where a man was stabbed to death allegedly by the father and brothers of the girl he eloped with.

Sharif Ghazi and his sons have been accused of stabbing Abid to death after he eloped with Sharif's daughter, Sharmeen. The couple was engaged but Sharmeen's father reportedly objected to their relationship.

The two reportedly fled from their homes a few days ago.

Yesterday, they were asked to return on the promise that they will be married. Abid and Sharmeen were then taken to a local dairy, where Abid was stabbed to death before his brother.

Abid's body was later recovered from the Kali river.

The police have filed a case of murder against Sharif Ghazi and eight others.

Sharmeen's father is a relative of Bahujan Samaj Party legislator from Bulandshahr, Haji Aleem, whose second wife was found dead in Delhi last year.
