Lucknow:
A 30-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly raped by a doctor who she visited for advice on a chest infection.
She claims that Dr BR Verma, who owns the hospital she visited in Lucknow, sedated her and then raped her.
Verma has been arrested and charged with rape and sections of the Prevention of Atrocities Against Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Act.
The victim's medical examination has not confirmed rape, but the police say there is enough evidence to suggest she is not lying.
