Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti arrived in the capital on Friday evening and is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi today to discuss the situation in the Kashmir Valley.
Government sources in Srinagar and Delhi confirmed that Ms Mufti would be meeting PM Modi at his official 7 Race Course Road.
The meeting comes two days after Home Minister Rajnath Singh's two-day Kashmir trip.
The Valley has been embroiled in violent unrest triggered by the July 8 killing of Hizbul terrorist Burhan Wani. The clashes have left 70 people dead and crippled life in the Valley.
