New Delhi: Aamir Khan's Dangal has made up its mind for a prolonged and successful run at the Chinese theatres. Dangal was released in China as Shuai Jiao Baba, which means 'Let's Wrestle, Dad' in English. The wrestling drama opened the Beijing Film Festival this year, which the 52-year-old actor attended as part of his promotional duties. Meanwhile, the Nitesh Tiwari-directed film has raked in a sum of Rs 148 crore at the Chinese box office, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Dangal's ticket sales in China is moving at quite a pace with the box office numbers jumping from Rs 90 crores to almost Rs 150 in two days. Earlier, Mr Adarsh had said that Dangal's performance on the first Monday was "extraordinary."

Here's how Dangal's box office report looks like:

Dangal opened across as many as 9,000 screens in China, which is a thousand theatres more than what Baahubali 2 released on in India. Baahubali 2 currently stands at over Rs 1000 crores in terms of overall collections.

Aamir Khan made his entry to Chinese theatres with the Rajkumar Hirani-directed satire PK last year. The film, also starring Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput, released across 4,000 screens and collected over Rs 100 crores in China.

Aamir Khan's performance in Dangal has been unanimously regarded as a career-defining one. The actor features as Mahavir Singh Phogat, the Haryanvi wrestler on whose life the sports biopic is based. Actresses Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra star as the Phogat sisters while TV star Sakshi Tanwar features as their mother.

Meanwhile in India, Aamir Khan will next be seen in Thugs Of Hindostan, in which he shares screen space with Amitabh Bachchan and also her Dangal co-star Fatima.
