Thanjavur:
Fed up with her alcoholic husband's behaviour, a 28-year-old woman allegedly set him ablaze here using kerosene, the police said today.
The couple had married in 2006 and has two children.
The woman was upset with her husband Jesuraj's addiction to liquor and they quarreled over the issue. She had lodged a complaint with the police against him earlier and he was arrested. He was released from jail recently.
Following relatives' intervention, the two had patched up, the police said adding but Jesuraj never gave up drinking.
Last night, when Jesuraj came back home drunk and picked up a quarrel, the woman allegedly poured kerosene on him and set him on fire, sources said.
Jesuraj with severe burns was admitted to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital, the police said.
The woman is absconding.
