Pictures showing stickers displaying images of AIADMK Chief Jayalalithaa on relief supplies were trending on social media

rain-hit Chennai, members of ruling AIADMK are allegedly putting up pictures of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa forcefully on relief supply material, say volunteers.
"AIADMK cadre stopped our vehicle, intimidated us and forcibly stuck these stickers on the rice bags, food packets etc. This is atrocious. They can't do this," Santosh, a volunteer said.
"This is arrogance and cheap. Should they score political points even in a tragedy like this," said another volunteer Kannan.
The issue has stoked a controversy after the party members' alleged action was heavily criticised on social media. Pictures showing stickers displaying images of AIADMK Chief Jayalalithaa on relief supplies were trending on social media sites.
An AIADMK leader, who did not want to be named, denied allegations.
"The party would soon issue a statement denying this. We would also ask police to stop this. Some groups have been hired to bring disrepute to the party," she said
However no such statement was received till midnight.
Meanwhile, DMK leader MK Stalin's campaign managers released another set of such pictures with caption "What a disgraceful act during such crisis".
