Jammu: The Indian Army Monday ordered the relocation of its ammunition dumps, bunkers and border outposts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu region due to extensive damage caused by floods.

Over 10 km of border fencing has been washed away by the floods along the LoC, which has resulted in serious damage to army posts and bunkers in the region, a defence spokesperson told IANS here.

"Immediate relocation of ammunition dumps to safer places has been ordered. It has also been ordered that bunkers and outposts along the LoC, those have been damaged due to floods especially in Rajouri, Poonch and Jammu districts be relocated to safer areas," the spokesperson said.
