Government is indifferent to corruption, says Advani

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader L K Advani today stressed upon the fact that there is no solution in sight other than a Joint Parliamentary Probe (JPC) in the 2G scam.

He said the government is indifferent to the problem of corruption and it has to be fought against as it is corrupting society and affecting governance.

He said the issue of corruption is one which the NDA feels very strongly about.

The government also came under attack for not sacking the Central Vigilance Commisioner, PJ Thomas, whose role as Telecom Secretary is currently under scrutiny.

Advani said Mr Thomas has recused himself from investigations but the fact that he won't resign vindicates BJP's stand and shows that government is not serious about corruption.
