A political blame game started after a five-member probe team submitted its report on the investigation of the Saharanpur clashes to the Uttar Pradesh government.
- A report by their own political party. I have nothing to say as I haven't even seen the report.
- Report makes it clear that the riots took place due to callous behaviour of the officers on duty. I appeal to the CM to take strict action against them.
- We do not agree with the probe committee report. Peace and harmony was destroyed after SP came to power. But after BJP came to power at the centre, it has gone worse.
- It is very sad to see that VHP and BJP leaders are involved in incidents in Meerut, Moradabad and Saharanpur. The PM in his Independence day speech said that communalism would not be tolerated. The PM needs to check his own party leaders.
- It is an irony that in Uttar Pradesh, the perpetrators of the communal violence are trying to be the judges. Mr Shivpal Yadav has come out with a report. We reject the report.
