Women Lead Parade Orgainsed To Mark 50 Years Of Statehood For Sikkim
s Sikkim celebrates 50 years of statehood, a parade was held at the Palzor Stadium in Gangtok to mark the day when 50 years ago, Sikkim became an Indian state. For the Sikkim Government, development and empowerment of women has been a focus area and the parade to mark the occasion was led by two women, Deputy SP Rinku Wongmu Bhutia and PI Chomu Lachungpa, who spoke to NDTV on the moment of pride.
