India-Japan Air Chiefs Fly Tejas Formation Together In Jodhpur
In a major display of India-Japan defence cooperation, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and JASDF Chief General Takehiro Morita flew together as part of a formation during Exercise Veer Guardian 2026 in Jodhpur. The sortie saw the Indian Air Force Chief lead the formation while Morita flew in a trainer aircraft. The formation also included a Tejas flown by Group Captain I Samrat. The second edition of Veer Guardian features advanced operational missions, mission planning and expert exchanges. The IAF is participating with Tejas, Su-30MKI and Rafale fighters, while Japan’s F-2A fighters are operating from Indian soil for the first time as part of the bilateral exercise.
