Starlink News | Govt Says Spectrum Pricing Decision Still Awaited, Players Must Meet Security Norms

Government sources have told NDTV that India is open to all players in the satellite communications market and is committed to ensuring a level playing field. Starlink, Jio and OneWeb have received licences, but all operators must demonstrate their capabilities and fulfil security requirements. Starlink was the last to apply and submit its compliance requirements, sources said. Meanwhile, decisions on spectrum allocation and pricing are still awaited and could take a few more weeks. The government says consumers will ultimately decide based on pricing, connectivity and service quality.
