"India Doesn't Allow Monopoly In Any Sector": Minister To Musk's Claims

Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has asserted that India will not allow a monopoly in any sector, amid a public dispute with Elon Musk over Starlink’s satellite internet licences. Musk had alleged that vested interests were blocking the company’s entry into India. The government has rejected the charge, maintaining that all satellite communication licence holders must comply with mandatory security requirements. Scindia said three companies are in line for final approval to launch commercial satcom services, underlining that security clearances apply to every operator.
