Sikkim Tunnel Blast | Rescue Operations Continue, 20 Feared Dead, More Trapped

Rescue operations are continuing at the Samardung Tunnel explosion site in which at least 20 people are feared dead now. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have spoken to the Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang to extend all possible support as the NDRF and SDRF continue rescue operations. West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has also spoken to the Sikkim CM and assured him of all possible cooperation and support from the Government of West Bengal. Prem Singh Tamang is tracking the challenging rescue operations closely and a special team will probe the cause of the incident to fix accountability. 12 deaths have been officially declared by the administration.
