In his final NDTV interview, Flight Lieutenant (Retd) Alfred Tyrone Cooke made a controversial allegation about a fellow pilot who flew alongside him during the 1965 war. Cooke claimed the pilot returned to base while he was still engaged in combat and later received the Vir Chakra. The pilot, who is no longer alive, cannot respond to Cooke's account.
