Satellite images accessed by NDTV reveal the shocking scale of encroachment and re-encroachment on prime railway land in Mumbai's Bandra East over the years.
The visuals show how illegal settlements around Garib Nagar expanded steadily from 2009 onwards, were partially cleared during a demolition drive in 2017-18, and then slowly returned inch by inch until the reclaimed land virtually disappeared again by 2025.
