The Congress launched protests outside Parliament after a Delhi court refused to take cognizance of the Enforcement Directorate’s prosecution complaint in the National Herald case, a development the party has termed a major relief. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge accused the Centre of misusing central agencies and demanded the resignation of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Congress MPs, along with leaders from the DMK and Left parties, staged a protest alleging political vendetta by the Enforcement Directorate, while the BJP maintained that the legal process is still underway and the case is far from over.
