A foreign travel influencer has gone viral for his journey atop a train in Bangladesh. The reel has received mixed reactions online, with some people applauding the idea and others condemning the act. The post was shared by the vlogger Sean Hammond. In the clip, he is seen climbing on top of a train along with many other people, most of whom seem to be locals. Sean walks along with the crowd across coaches on the roof, trying to find space to sit down. He reveals that he is going to be travelling in this manner for around 6-7 hours.
We see the train depart the station, and Sean seems to bond with his fellow passengers as time passes - he sings and shares food with them. He admits, "Honestly, I thought it was going to be kind of scary, but it's pretty chill." However, he does get a few scares when he has to duck to avoid hitting his hand on branches of trees and metal rods that pass near the train's roof as it moves.

Sean picked the iconic "Chaiyya Chaiyya" song as the background music for his reel. In the caption, he wrote, "Riding on top of the train in Bangladesh was wild in the best way. I met a bunch of people and we all became train buddies from Dhaka to Chittagong. Never in my life did I think I would share food and song with someone on top of a moving train, but I'm pretty happy I got to experience that. The kindness of the people of Bangladesh is genuine and heartwarming."

In the comments, people were divided over whether such "stunts" should be "promoted" on social media or not. Some were intrigued by the experience, while others felt it was too risky. Another section of users was simply interested in the song used for the viral video. After all, "Chaiyya Chaiyya" was also famously filmed on a moving train. Read some of the reactions below:
"Choice of song on point! What a vibe!"
"Bro chose the right song!"
"Bro took the song too seriously."
"Background music is awesome."
"I would do this for 30 mins, but 6 hours!!! Yikes."
"I wouldn't encourage any foreigners to do this. It looks fun, but it is incredibly dangerous."
"Don't travel on top of the train. It's dangerous. No need for adventure. So many seats for you inside the train. Lots of love from Bangladesh."
"Isn't this kind of a ridiculous thing to promote that only encourages bad stereotypes of Bangladesh? Especially when the trains themselves are perfectly fine inside. You can appreciate the kindness of the local people through loads of unique experiences that don't come with a very real risk of death."
The viral video has clocked over 2.4 million views on Instagram so far.
