Viral Video: US Woman's Dog Eats Her Passport, She Bemoans Lost "Memories"

Travel can be a wild ride, full of unexpected twists and turns. Sometimes, it is not the long lines or delayed flights that disrupt your plans, but something you really could not have seen coming. Recently, a US woman's dog tore her passport into pieces just hours before an overseas flight. In a video shared on Instagram, a vlogger named Karina explained how her travel plans were nearly derailed by her pet. The clip showed her holding the damaged passport while narrating the incident in disbelief.

She said, "So my dog tried to ruin my life today. Look at this. As a teacher, I've had students tell me, oh, my dog ate my homework. And I've always responded with, give me something better to work with. They might have been telling the truth. Because why did she do this to me?" She added, "This happened yesterday night. I have a flight today. Bags are packed. And this is what my dog decided to do."

Luckily, the passport the dog ate was an old one that was already full (she revealed this in the comments). The actual, second passport she would have to use was safe and sound. She joked that without it, her dog might have been in serious trouble. "She is a smart dog. Baby, had it been this way, Oh, back to the streets you go. She wanted to make me mad, but not that mad. But, I'm still sad about this one because it's so many memories," Karina said.
