But every once in a while, you stumble upon something that's not just extraordinary, it's actually uncanny. Can you imagine taking a walk through perfectly trimmed gardens, surrounded by cream-coloured buildings that look European? And then, out of nowhere, you see the Eiffel Tower from above the skyline! No, we are not talking about Paris, but Tianducheng, a tiny town in China that looks like a replica of this famous French town.

All About Tianducheng: China's Own Paris
Located just outside Hangzhou in eastern China, Tianducheng was developed in 2007 as a high-end residential project designed to replicate the feel of Paris. Spread across a sprawling 31 square kilometres, the town features French-style architecture, wide boulevards, classical fountains, and gardens inspired by Versailles. But the real highlight of this place is the 108-metre-tall replica of the Eiffel Tower that looks over the town square.
Initially, it was called a ghost town because of its low occupancy rates. But Tianducheng has now seen a rise. As of 2017, the town reportedly had around 30,000 residents. While it may not have the real crepes or the Seine River, it remains a fascinating case of architectural ambition in China.
