Somnath in Gujarat is renowned as the first of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a special service through the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train for darshan of the 7 sacred Jyotirlingas. The 12-day trip will include Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar, Nageshwar, Somnath, Trimbakeshwar, Bhimashankar and Grishneshwar, along with visits to other key sites such as Dwarkadhish and Bet Dwarka. Jyotirlingas are among the most revered shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. This journey will begin from Yog Nagri Rishikesh Railway Station on November 18, 2025.

Package Exclusions:

  • Monument and temple entry charges, boating, etc.
  • Sightseeing costs, entrance fees, and local guides are not listed in the itinerary.
  • Tips to drivers, waiters, guides, representatives, fuel surcharge, etc.
  • Personal expenses such as laundry, wines, mineral water, food and drinks are not part of the package.
  • Any service not mentioned in the inclusions.

Points To Note Before Booking:

  • Single passengers will have to share occupancy with others booked on the same basis.
  • Seating arrangements will be finalised 1-2 days before departure, with no guarantee of lower berths.
  • IRCTC will not provide special Darshan tickets.
  • Final train timings will be shared two days before the journey.
  • Passengers must carry a Voter ID/Aadhaar Card and proof of final COVID-19 vaccination.
  • The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will operate only if the minimum booking requirement is met.
  • At Ganga Sagar, freshen-up facilities for standard and superior categories will be in dormitories on a multi-sharing basis.
