IndiGo has found itself at the centre of chaos this week. The airline, usually known for being punctual and reliable, suddenly faced its worst operational breakdown yet. On Thursday alone, more than 500 flights were cancelled - the highest number ever recorded by IndiGo in a single day. Major airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai all saw heavy disruptions.
Amid all the complaints and updates, an Instagram video posted by a passenger named Supreet Singh has grabbed our attention. Filmed from inside an IndiGo aircraft, the clip captures the ground reality of what many travellers went through in a delayed flight.
Supreet begins by saying that the situation is "worse than it seems." He explains that he and other passengers had already been sitting inside the aircraft for 2.5 hours without any proper information. Before boarding, they were waiting in the lounge, which at least had some comfort, but once inside the plane, there were no answers from the crew. According to him, the confusion only got worse.

Sunpreet shares that they boarded around 11:30 AM, even though the departure time was supposed to be 5:30 PM. By 2:04 PM, passengers were still stuck on the runway with no captain present and no food available. Supreet says the airline had no proper meal arrangements, and only after continuous requests did they receive a cup of noodles. Even that was not enough for the number of people on board.
Inside the aircraft, tensions were rising. Supreet mentions that passengers had started arguing, and families with small children were struggling in the long queues near the aisle. Many people said they did not even want to travel anymore and were desperately hoping to deboard.
The passenger ends the video by advising people to avoid travelling with IndiGo for at least the next five days.
The internet was quick to share its reactions in the comments section.
A user wrote, "Aj midnight ki flight hai bhai... No idea what would happen. (I have a midnight flight today... No idea what will happen. It already shows a 2-hour delay.) Till now, 2 hours delay dikha raha."
Another one added, "IndiGo ko apne sabhi flights cancel kar deni chahiye... jab tak system theek naa ho jaaye... Kam se kam passengers ko taklif nahi deni chahiye... khaane peene ka arrangement toh karna hi chahiye. (IndiGo should cancel all flights until the system is fixed... At least passengers shouldn't be troubled... Basic food and water arrangements should be provided.)"
Someone asked, "Bhai dusri airline jaise Air India etc ko bhi same problem hori? (Brother, are other airlines like Air India also facing the same problem?)"
Another person questioned, "Was this a domestic flight?"
