Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, February 2026, inaugurated the full-length Namo Bharat rapid rail corridor along with the new Meerut Metro, marking a major boost for regional connectivity in north India. The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS is being positioned as India's fastest urban transit system and is expected to significantly cut travel time between Delhi and Meerut. With modern coaches, integrated ticketing and high-frequency service, the new corridor is set to reshape daily commuting across the NCR region.

Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat RRTS Stations: Major Stops On The Route

The corridor passes through several important urban clusters across Delhi NCR and Meerut. The Meerut stretch includes both elevated and underground stations.

Where Does The Delhi-Meerut RRTS Start From?

For passengers travelling from the national capital, the Namo Bharat service begins at Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi, which serves as the main origin station of the corridor. From here, trains run through Ghaziabad and onward to Modipuram in Meerut, with seamless interchange available with the Meerut Metro at designated stations.

Fare Structure: What Will Your Ticket Cost?
The Namo Bharat trains follow a distance-based fare system designed for daily commuters.
- Standard class fares start at around ₹20 and can go up to about ₹150 depending on the distance.
- A single integrated ticket allows passengers to switch between Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro services.
Frequency, Timings And Travel Experience

The new corridor has been planned for high-frequency urban travel. Services are designed to run approximately every 10 minutes on the Namo Bharat corridor, while the Meerut Metro is expected to operate at around 7-minute intervals on the shared city section.
Train services generally run from 6 am to 10 pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 8 am to 10 pm on Sundays. The full Delhi to Modipuram journey on the 82 km corridor is expected to take about 55 to 58 minutes, while the Meerut Metro's roughly 21 km city stretch can be covered in around 30 minutes.
With faster travel, modern infrastructure and smoother regional links, the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro are expected to ease road congestion and make NCR commutes far more efficient.
