Enthused with the success of Main Aur Charles, filmmaker Prawaal Raman is now gearing up to direct a sequel. "We are in talks with our collaborator in France. The sequel will showcase Charles' life in Europe. It will be in French and in Hindi and will hopefully be ready for release by 2017," Mr Raman told the media

"Intolerance has always been there, in isolated incidents. But because there is much more reportage now, it's in the foreground. It's sad that people are trying to get mileage out of it and media is sensationalising it. I don't think it should be sensationalised because it encourages more intolerance," Randeep told the media in Mumbai

Apart from Main Aur Charles and Titli, Kunal Khemu's adult comedy Guddu Ki Gun, Raj V Shetty's Love Exchange and Nitin Chandra's Once Upon A Time In Bihar will also release today

"As I got to know a lot more about him, my perception did change. We cannot play a character without empathising with the person. Without being present over there, I used to think why he did it and to what extent. There is nothing called doing intense parts in films. It's called getting involved," said Randeep

"I have no do's and don'ts. I just want to be a part of meaningful cinema even if it's not a full length role. It should have an impact. This film has opened up doors for me and I would certainly love to be a part of more movies," said Lucky Morani. Main Aur Charles is scheduled to release on October 30

Charles Sobhraj is currently in a jail in Nepal, having been convicted for his numerous brutal murders in the 1970s. He was even convicted and jailed in India from 1976 to 1997. Directed by Prawaal Raman, Main Aur Charles is scheduled to release on October 30

"I want to work with all the Khans from Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir, Saif Ali and Irffan khan. After the struggle of 15-20 years, they have reached where they are now. If I get a chance to work with them, it will definitely be a learning experience," said Richa Chadha, who will be soon seen in Main Aur Charles

"I have written it not because I want to glorify crime but it's a case study and a character like Charles of course is inspired from a lot of true incidents. A character like that is very enigmatic," the Darna Mana Hai director said

"Of course. Why would I not think he's innocent? Even in Nepal where he's been thrown into prison, he was a straight prisoner. I empathized with him. And no, I didn't feel sorry for him at all, in fact he knows what he is doing and is good at that," said Randeep Hooda who will play the role of Charles Shobraj in Main Aur Charles

"I am waiting for someone to do a film with me (having a) bubbly candy floss (role) because I have done a lot of intense films. So to do it in Main Aur Charles was not difficult. My character is very entertaining in the film, there are a lot of shades to my role"

The two-minute-long clip describes Mr Sobhraj with epithets like "manipulative, intelligent and hypnotic". The 39-year-old-actor gets into the skin of the character with ease, looking the part in a flat cap, oversized shades, a two-piece suit and a tie. He mouths the words: "It is good to be evil"
