The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Friday approved polyster products manufacturer JBF Industries' $150 million deal with global investment firm KKR Credit.

The Nifty is likely to open higher on Thursday tracking positive global markets. Foreign investors continued to be net sellers of Indian equities. They have sold stocks worth Rs 1073 crore in cash market on Wednesday. However domestic investors were net buyers to the tune of Rs 601 crore on Wednesday.

Domestic brokerage Nirmal Bang has recommended the stock with an 'accumulate' rating. The brokerage says the fall in crude oil prices will boost the margins of JBF Industries. Global crude prices have slumped nearly 40 per cent slump since June this year.

As many as 17 listed companies have completed their share buyback plans this year and repurchased stocks worth about Rs 500 crore, representing little over half of their collective targets, according to data from market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
