Kerala submits Rs 750 crore plan for sea-wall

The Kerala government has submitted to the Centre a Rs.750 crore scheme for construction of a sea-wall with groynes (a rigid hydraulic structure built from an ocean shore a bank that interrupts water flow and limits the movement of sediment) for protecting coastal areas, State Water Resources Minister PJ Joseph told the Assembly on Wednesday.
