The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced a fresh opportunity for students seeking Eligibility Certificates from the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB), allowing those who missed the earlier deadline to apply again.
In an official public notice, the Commission said the decision was taken after receiving representations from candidates who were unable to submit their applications earlier due to "technical issues".
According to the revised schedule, the online application window will reopen on April 6 at 10am and remain active till April 13 up to 6pm. Applications can be submitted through the official NMC portal.
"Keeping in view the career prospects of the applicants, it has been decided... to give an additional opportunity to the candidates," the notice stated.
Candidates have been advised to complete the application process carefully, as "incomplete applications in any form will not be processed and shall be summarily rejected."
The Commission also clarified that it will not be responsible for such rejections. Officials further urged applicants not to wait until the last date.
"Candidates may not wait for the last date to apply and should submit their applications as early as possible," the notice said, highlighting that the issuance process involves multiple levels of verification to ensure compliance with existing regulations.
Applicants are also required to regularly check their registered email IDs and the online portal for updates regarding their application status.
The EMRB had earlier closed the application window on March 31, 2026, following a prior notice issued on February 27.
