Crew of Film Unit Injured in Bee Attack in Tamil Nadu, Shooting Cancelled
Erode, Tamil Nadu:  Several people including some actors have been injured in a honey bee attack while shooting for a film at Mevani village in Gobichettipalayam, about 30 kms from Erode in Tamil Nadu, following which the shooting was cancelled, police said today.

They were attacked by a swarm of honeybees near the forest area while the shooting was in progress yesterday.

Some of crew members of the film unit ran away from the place and took shelter in nearby houses and huts to escape from the bee attack.

While few of them who suffered stings on their bodies underwent treatment in a nearby private hospital, others were provided with first aid by the villagers.

The shooting for the next two days was cancelled, one of the producers of the film said.
