Michael Schumacher to return to F1
New Delhi: Formula One great Michael Schumacher has reportedly agreed to come out of retirement to drive for Mercedes in 2010.

A German newspaper says the seven-time champion, who retired in 2006, signed a one-year contract at the team's office apparently for 10 million dollars.

Michael Schumacher is a 7-time world champion with 91 race wins and 154 podiums to his credit.

He had planned to return to F1 racing for the European Grand Prix as a replacement for the injured Ferrari driver Felipe Massa. However, he was not fit enough to make a comeback due to a neck injury he had sustained during a motorcycle crash earlier that year.

Schumacher, who won 5 championships for Ferrari, has been heavily linked with a move to the former Brawn GP team, which won last year's drivers' and constructors' titles.
