An Indian professional working in Poland has shared his experience of corporate life in the country, highlighting that the benefits go far beyond just salary. In a video posted on Instagram, Anirudh Sharma spoke about the work culture, employee benefits and policies that support a balanced lifestyle.
Describing himself as a banking professional in Poland, Sharma said that corporate jobs there offer flexible working hours. He explained that his work typically starts at 8 am and ends by 4 pm, allowing him considerable personal time after work.
He also noted that employees are allowed to work from home two to three days a week, making it easier to maintain a work-life balance. According to him, double pay is paid for working on public holidays, while overtime is paid one and a half times the normal salary.
Sharma explained that Polish companies prioritize employee well-being. He said that sick leave is typically paid at around 80 percent, while some companies even pay the full salary.

He further explained that companies promote employee health through activities such as trekking, team outings, and wellness programs. Many places also offer benefits like multisport cards, which allow access to gyms, swimming, and other fitness activities. Some offices even provide breakfast for employees.
Paid Leave And Other Benefits
Speaking about holidays, Sharma explained that, in his experience, employees receive 20 to 26 days of paid leave each year. He added that some organizations require at least two weeks of continuous leave.
In addition, employees receive two to three additional optional holidays, which they can use for personal work or social activities. He also mentioned that some offices offer half-days off before public holidays.
Sharma explained that parental leave can last up to 52 weeks, with both government and company support.
He also noted that the work environment becomes relatively more relaxed during the summer. He also said that to take leave here, one usually only needs to inform one's manager and there is no need to take formal permission.
