According to People's Daily Online, the incident occurred on July 24 on Nanyuan Road in Shanghai and caused a severe traffic jam for over an hour causing locals a lot of inconvenience.

The couple had apparently hired the helicopter to fly them to the destination for their wedding. The aircraft would also symbolize that their destiny together was a blessing from above.

According to Shanghai Daily, the pilots had prior permission to land the plane on the road. However, civil aviation authorities will still look into the matter, especially since busy roads are not meant for the takeoff and landing of a chopper.
