The snake was found in an empty box outside a drive-thru store in Queensland

A highly venomous and angry snake was spotted hiding in a box outside a drive-thru liquor store in Queensland, Australia on Sunday.

Store employees were shocked to find the 4-foot reptile inside an empty box in the driveway of the store, following which they contacted snake handlers for help.

Video posted on Facebook by South Burnett Snake Catchers shows snake handler Darryl trying to catch the serpent but as he pulls the snake out of the box, it slithers behind a billboard.

Fortunately, it is soon caught again by the handler.

As Darryl tries to put the snake into a bag, it tries to attack him several times - unsuccessfully so.

Darryl asks staff members if the snake was run over.

"Yeah, I think so," says a man in the background.

Another says, "There's blood on the ground but he might not have been".

Store employees believe the snake may have fallen out of a car, reported Daily Mail.
