The youth brigade of Shiv Sena, Yuva Sena, has attacked a college at Andheri in Mumbai.
Yuva Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray's son Aditya Thackeray attacked Chinoy College because the authorities did not allow 10 students to sit for their exams as their attendance was less than required.
Despite the threat the college went ahead with the exams.
In October last year, Aditya Thackeray led a bunch of students against Rohinton Mistry's book 'Such A Long Journey' - an optional read in the BA syllabus at the Mumbai University.
He said certain references to the Shiv Sena and its leader Bal Thackeray are objectionable.
What followed shocked Mumbai's education circles. The vice-chancellor ordered the withdrawal of the book less than 24 hours after the Shiv Sena's student wing's objections and mid-way through the term.
