Mumbai:
A major fire, which broke out inside the naval dock in south Mumbai on Thursday, has now been brought under control. It was doused after nearly two hours.
The fire was reported from an administrative building.
The Navy PRO told NDTV that there were no casualties, but he could not confirm whether anyone has been injured.
Over 10 water tankers and five ambulances were pressed into service to douse the fire which had engulfed two floors. "We have rushed around 13 tankers and fire engines to the spot and our officers are trying to control it," a fire official said.
The Navy has said the fire was caused by a short-circuit.
