You Guys Have These Crazy Thoughts When You Are On A Date Too, Right?

They are sitting across you and your mind is travelling at the speed of light. So many thoughts are running inside your head that you might as well be a mad scientist - only instead of a world benefiting science experiment, you are on a date.

That's the thing, if you are one who thinks a lot (and even if you aren't) there are so many things that go through one's mid when you are meeting someone for the first time with the motive of getting to know them, in hope that maybe this works out to be the beautiful something you have been waiting for.

But truth be told those thoughts are just a projection of our anxieties and expectations. And that's really okay because hey, love can get tricky, eh?

But you don't have to feel like you are the odd one out, because we all have those thoughts. What thoughts?

1. Will this go anywhere?

Okay this one is the most basic one, right? You are sitting across him, listening to him talk about his collection of books and what he did the last time he visited Paris and you wonder if he could be the one, or whether this will be the first and the last time you will see him.

2. Am I talking to much? Gosh, should I have said that?

There comes a point when the wine has done it's work and there is gentle touching of the hands, and coy smiles ans laughter. And in the middle of a babble you realise that you are babbling and wonder what he's thinking about whatever you are sharing.

3. What will it feel like to kiss them?

Okay, this one is purely your imagination running wild and it surely is a spiral, because right after you can't stop looking at their lips once in a while only to hope that there IS a kiss at the end of the night.

4. What exactly are they hoping for?

You surely try and gauge their interest and wonder what is on their mind - is it a one night stand, or a second date in on the cards? Is he the kind who will text back tomorrow or the kind who will profess love the very next day? And what do I feel about all this anyway?

5. Am I in love?

Seriously, as much as we wish we don't even get there, we sometimes get there. And then its one heck of a ride.

Are we alone in this? Surely not!
