Tried And Tested: MyGlamm's Multitasking Strobing Liquid - Here's How It Fared
MyGlamm's Spotlight is one of India's first strobing liquids

Ever since highlighter hit Indian shores in 2016, it quickly became every beauty addict's obsession. Unlike contouring of the previous years, highlighter was more versatile and much easier to apply, which made it a makeup staple. Two years later, India finally gets its own strobing liquid called Spotlight by MyGlamm, who create smart multitasking products with European formulations for the modern Indian. Said to be one of India's first, I've been excited about this liquid illuminator from the start. So I tested and tried it over the course of a few weeks and here's how it fared.

Packaging:

Spotlight comes in a thick glass bottle with a pipette style dropper and a gold band. Full marks on the dropper which delivers just enough product without excess wastage. The bottle allows the amount of product to be seen easily. Being a glass bottle, you have to be careful it doesn't slip from a table. It is priced at INR 1195 for 14.5 grams and is available on MyGlamm and Nykaa.

Consistency And Texture:

I have mixed feeling when it comes to the formula of the product. Since it is a liquid, I expected it to be runny but it's thinner and more gold toned than what I expected. That aside, the product itself is a delight to use. It applies beautifully on the skin and blends into it well without too much effort. A bit of tapping with your fingertips are what I'd recommend for your body heat to work magic with the product.

Finish And Feel:

What makes the most difference to any product is how it finally appears on the skin and Spotlight is no different. While the thinness of the formula makes it feel like barely anything, it also gives the skin a natural luminosity. This can be a double-edged sword because if you're looking for a brilliant pop of highlighter, you'll have to apply multiple layers (I'm wearing 2 layers in these pictures) and top with powder highlighter. That being said, I prefer a natural glow so it suited well. I also found that it worked like a dream when applied on the collarbones and shoulders. The product also lasted through the day and when it began to fade after 5 - 6 hours, left shimmer behind.

Swirlster Says: If you're in need of a natural finish liquid highlighter that can work in more ways than one, this might be it. Just make sure you blend well to avoid any patchiness and layer up with powder if you want yours to pop.
