When Gwyneth Paltrow is your mother, the prospects of digging into her fashion closet are practically a dream come true. Apple Martin is one very lucky lady because that's exactly what she gets to do whenever it pleases her. Recently, Gwyneth shared a photo of her teenage daughter, where she struck a pose in what seemed to be a walk-in closet. In front of the background of coats, shirts and bags, Apple was seen in a full-length Alexander McQueen gown of a semi-sheer sleeveless top leading to a black ruched skirt bottom. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail while she accessorized with a pearl necklace and wrist full of bracelets.

It wasn't any ordinary dress that Apple picked out of her mother's closet. This gown in question was worn by Gwyneth at the 2002 Academy Awards. With it, Gwyneth wore a black string necklace with dangling earrings. Like Apple's locks, her blonde tresses were pulled into a braided updo while her smokey eye makeup added that punk edge. Gwyneth shared the stylish photo of Apple wearing the throwback dress during an Instagram AMA session, where her followers had the chance to marvel at the blast from the past. Like mother, like daughter, it seems, especially when it comes to designer fashion sense.
