Rahul Mishra recently showcased his latest fall 2023 collection at the Paris Couture Week 2023. The collection revolved around 'We, The People.' The artisans are part of Mishra's "ethical community", to which he dedicated his collection. Closing the show with a gorgeous Indian lehenga with embroidery, beads, and handwork, the designer brought a fusion of culture and fashion to the runway. A true masterpiece that celebrates diversity and craftsmanship with minute details.

In a conversation with a leading lifestyle publication, Rahul Mishra says, "The work we do belongs to all of us, to all the people that contributed to making this collection come to life," he said. "It's a collective dream," which is why he called it 'We The People' even though he said he knows "it sounds something like the Constitution." The embroidery and handwork done by the craftsmen were inspired by daily life and nature while there is evidence of sentient life in the designs with for instance the presence of a minuscule figure of an artisan, peeking from a motif or a lady working on a dress. The exceptional skills of the makers and artisans were displayed in these meticulous details of the designer's collection. Rahul Mishra also mentioned that he was particularly proud that after years of training people coming from slums and densely populated sub-factory set-ups in large cities, the craftsmen are returning to their local Indian villages to build new communities of makers keeping traditional crafts alive.
