Every time we think, runway collections couldn't be crazier and more creative, these luxury brands bring something new to the table. The Spring/Summer 2025 womenswear collection from Moschino has grabbed our attention for its quirky and extraordinary accessories. For his second womenswear lineup with the Italian fashion house, Moschino, creative director Adrian Appiolaza created something where luxury met with a playful twist
The show was staged in a vast room of a laundry line featuring crisp white sheets billowing overhead. The collection was all about oversized floating linens. What made the collection more unique was, how model Alex Consani added a playful Moschino twist on a Clorox bleach bottle, cleverly reimagined as a handbag. The accessory was adorned with the white sheet dress the model wore, seamlessly tying together with Moschino's signature humour.
This is not the first that luxury brands and runway shows have caught social media's attention beyond their collection of clothes. Remember the Schiaparelli's giant robot baby at the Paris Couture Week last year? The hot accessory was a robotic baby that nobody would've guessed but certainly not leave people surprised owing to the brand's special skillleaving people awestruck. Model Maggie Maurer carried a dazzled toddler-shaped figure made of silver and green encrusted circuit boards, broken cables, wires and shimmering Swarovski crystals. She wore an all-white-racer vest along with billowing combat pants and cowboy boots.
It's clear that the future of fashion lies not just in the designer's clothes but in the show and how it can be turned into an experience for the audience.
