Lake Como in Italy can boast of more than just a lot of natural beauty as of a few hours ago. Reason? A lot of Bollywood stars came together to celebrate what is reportedly Isha Ambani's official engagement to fiance Anand Piramal. Pictures circulating on Instagram are enough for us to know that two of our favourite Bollywood couples are in Italy right now, and they are certainly dressed to impress - in desi, ethnic wear.
When Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra officially announced their engagement more than a month ago, the frenzy was very palpable. Now, seeing them dressed in their finest Indian wear, we are getting those get-married-already-feels all over again. Both dressed in Manish Malhotra couture, Priyanka and Nick looked dazzling together. While Priyanka wore a beautiful white and beige handcrafted and embroidered saree, Nick wore a black embroidered sherwani. The pictures were enough to get us all excited about their wedding, whenever it happens.
And speaking of wedding, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding had created quite a buzz back in May this year. Today, Sonam Kapoor posted (and later removed) a picture with Anand, taking a boat ride at Lake Como. What was remarkable about the picture wasn’t just the couple but their outfits complementing each other’s. In an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla suit, reportedly gifted to her by her mother-in-law, Sonam looked resplendent. The embroidery and thread work on the suit was exquisite. Anand, on the other hand, wore a simple black and white sherwani which looked very elegant and suave.
Isha Ambani and her fiance Anand Piramal will reportedly exchange rings, formalising their engagement. No details of the weekend's festivities have been officially revealed. Speculation suggests that the guest list at Lake Como also includes Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and other stars.
