When it comes to lip care, lip balms are an essential. They are simply the easiest to apply; just dabbing a small quantity of it can nourish your lips and add a flush of colour that looks natural. Not just for the lips, they even work as great multipurpose tints - dab some on your cheeks and eyelids as well for an effortless look. This doesn't take much time and therefore is one of the best options for a quick makeover. Even during these times when a mask covers half of the face, lip balms tend to stay intact. However, you can very easily make lip balms free of chemicals and help moisturise your lips. Here's how you can make your very own lip balm at home. However, they need to be used as soon as you make them because of the absence of preservatives.

Put one-fourth cup of pomegranate seeds in a small bowl and press out the juice using a spoon or a pestle. Add melted coconut oil to the juice, transfer to a small container and refrigerate.
Beetroot Lip Balm
The pigments in beetroot help in brightening of dark pigmented lips and give the lips natural reddish-pink colour while ghee has nourishing fatty acids which further act as a moisturiser.
