From Insomnia To Migraines, Ali Fazal's Wife Richa Chadha Discusses The Tough Reality Of Pregnancy In Her Third Trimester
Richa Chadha Spills The Beans On All Things Real About Pregnancy

Richa Chadha hasn't been one to shy away from embracing all facets of her pregnancy and the upcoming journey of parenting. The Heeramandi actress has been seen out and about promoting projects, doing photoshoots, engaging in talk shows, walking the ramp and more, all with a bun in the oven. Richa recently shared a few throwback pictures of herself clad in a floral purple salwar kameez with the caption, "Third trimester comes with discomfort, insomnia, acid trippy dreams, backache, migraine, and weepy moods...so here's a little sneak from the past. Loved being exclusively in Indian wear through the promotions! #Latergram from promoting #heeramandionnetflix. Cuz the future will be better but the past is better than the present today LOLOL. It's been almost 2 WHOLE months but i am getting endless love for LAJJO. Hence the smile. @alifazal9 come home soon. We got work to do, the house needs baby proofing." The pictures are seemingly from the Heeramandi promotional tour when Richa was promoting the project in full force, all while being seven months pregnant and beaming. The caption throws light on the reality of pregnancy that is not often a part of the dialogue. Let us take a deep dive into these conversations about the physical, emotional and above all, human facts that pregnancy brings along.

Richa Chadha addressed pertinent questions of discomfort, insomnia, mood swings, backaches, migraines, acid trippy dreams. These are all very real conditions that pregnant women face. The actress' caption also talks about both parents joining hands in preparing for the big day and baby proofing the home, which are joint responsibilities for both parents; not the mother alone.

In a post shared by Richa recently, she can be seen standing at a London tube station wearing a black blazer and a dress. The caption that accompanied the post said, "Hmmm...are my days of impromptu solo-travel over ? These photos are from July 2023, when I had wrapped a stressful and strange shoot in London, and decided to take a solo-trip to Amsterdam the following morning. Accompanied by @harryrajput64 , who'd just had his camera stolen due to a break-in , from the production car...Harry who was eager to party on his last night in London, clicking away at Pimilico station...i was just keen on getting to Amsterdam via Eurostar for a bit of gallerying and soul-searching. He went to party, I crashed at my friend's apartment, ordered a salad and slept!Reminiscing tonight...what will happen now, I will be responsible for a whole other human being. Can't just up and leave now anymore na ? Mommies weigh in?"

Here Richa addresses her apprehensions as a mother-to-be who wonders if her days of freedom are over; even when it comes to something like taking an impromptu trip. It gives abundant food for thought regarding the amount of compromise mothers make to raise their children.

Masaba Gupta found coincidence in the post and commented, saying, "Same thoughts some days, Richa! But looking at it this way - that a new life will bring change of responsibility, new needs & new areas of focus perhaps. And newness is very uncomfortable sometimes in the beginning but such a blessing in the long run. Also at a spiritual level, this would not have come your way if you weren't ready for life to be tossed into the unknown..some larger plan at play maybe ? This last bit is helping me whenever I have anxious thoughts about being a new mommy! Lots of love - hope we are all eased into it as beautifully as possible @therichachadha". Masaba gave perspective and hope for the new life and its new set of responsibilities.

In yet another post on her Instagram handle, Richa shared a candid selfie of herself, Ali and their pet cat Jugni on the occasion of Father's Day with the caption, "Dear blessings that come in 6 feet packages, before the day ends, happy first Father's Day (from the womb). You're the best thing that happened to me. And now us. Thanks." Here she wished Ali on his first Father's Day on behalf of their unborn baby in her womb. A sense of gratitude for having the blessing of the right partner and now soon-to-be father of her child was evident. This too is an important factor, to be grateful for support surrounding pregnant women. A very important blessing is having a supportive partner by your side.

Trust Richa Chadha to tell it like it is. More power to the actress for candidly spilling the beans on pregnancy, parenting and beyond.
