I wore a pyjama set recently and the reactions were contradictory. The girls around me loved it and the guys were like, umm, scandalised. *rolling eyes*. We girls always have each other's back! So how on earth do you wear pyjamas outdoors? I am sure it sounds very weird. But, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone's pyjama sets are just the push you need.
1. The fabric is how you work this look. Choose fabrics which make you feel luxurious. A big yes for silk and satin. Cotton and polyester are a no-go. Think Audrey Hepburn - classy!
2. Maybe it is a big deal to start with the set. Let's try small. Try the top with a nice fitted pencil skirt. Or you can wear the bottoms with a formal blazer.
3. Your accessories have to be on point. What I mean is that you need to maintain the sophisticated look. Delicate jewellery, a nice pair of stilettos and a structured clutch - that's what I am talking about.
4. Messy hair or no messy hair, wear it the way you want. But make sure it's well-done. Perfect. The hair takes the pyjamas out of the bedroom and into the streets.
5. Make eyes pop with a printed set... Why not?
6. Always remember to highlight your best assets - collar bones, curves, legs, etc.
7. Simply have fun with it. It's a non-serious trend but go big or go home. (With the pyjamas in this case.)
P.S.: Remember - the idea is to not to look like you've walked out of bed without even taking a shower! A little effort is what makes you look like a million bucks. So do your hair, add gloss - go a bit glamorous.
Try it out - send us your pictures and tell us what people around you thought about it. My mom has refused to comment on my look - what about yours?
