The French have perfected quite a lot; whether it's the croissant that's flaky enough to melt into your mouth or silver screen romances with picnics beneath the Eiffel Tower. But it's also the concept of French girl beauty which they've mastered the art of. You may not know what it is exactly, but you've definitely seen what the French girl beauty standard is. You know; effortlessly radiant skin, tousled hair, bright yet not overdone eyes with maybe a flick or eyeliner and a rouge pout. The foundation of it is glowing skin that shines from within without looking like there's a heavy layer of makeup present. So Sandrine Carliez, Beauty Expert and International Trainer, Mary Cohr was just the right person to dive straight into about it. After decades of experience dealing with different types of skin in various continents of the world, Sandrine spoke about her beauty tips for glowing skin all the year through.
Sunscreen Application Depends On Your Exposure
So you've worn your sunscreen and stepped outside but is that enough for the rest of the day? Not really. "The time between reapplication makes all the difference for sunscreen, especially if you're in and out of the sun. Sunscreens are tested in labs which are not a reflection of the outside world. It's not so much as the strength of the filter of 20 or 50 but how much time you can wear it for. So for sun care products, simply applying filters will never be enough," recommends Sandrine.

Inside Makes As Much Difference For Your Skin
It isn't simply about applying the latest serum and sticking to the most expensive cream in the market. What goes into your body contributes to ageing greatly. "If we were living in a bubble under perfect conditions, we'd get our first wrinkle at 50 years old. But we're living in a world with pollution, stress and different eating habits. All of these parameters affect approximately 80% of the ageing process. That's why education about the subject can start as early as 13 years to respect the skin," says Sandrine.
Switch Up Your Skin Care For Your Age
Simply because a beauty product worked for you since you were a teen isn't a good enough reason to carry it with you into your 30s and 40s. "At age 35, everything begins to slow down. Your skin doesn't function the way it did before. Adapt your routine and opt for consultation for treatments according to your age and the way it is functioning in order to rebalance your skin to find out what it needs," informs Sandrine. That way you will find the right regimen to match your skin's needs.
